The former GDR, German Democratic Republic, was a country with a population of about 17 million people. She was known for her great achievements in sports also in weightlifting. This success was due to their exceptionally good trainer education. This education took place at special sports universities and you could only be admitted if you had a senior high school diploma and you should have been a very good (top or sub top) lifter. In the GDR a training system have been developed that would make it possible to lead young people from the age of 10 years to the top of the world. The GDR coaching education was among the best in the world.
Education program Olympic Weightlifting coach
In 1989, the Wall tumbled down and Communism was overthrown. A few years later the GDR ceased to exist and is East Germany joined the Federal Republic of Germany. The Federal Republic of Germany was keen to learn the details of the former GDR coaching education program and training systems.
They were keenly aware that for the German sport here was much to be gained. The current education program originates from the former GDR coaching education program and is therefore also outside Germany in very high regard. Even Olympic Weightlifting coaches from countries such as Bulgaria, Poland and Russia speak with respect about the German education program for Olympic Weightlifting coach.
A seven-year program
In 2010 received the A – license, a seven-year course. He is certified by the German Weightlifting Federation and is registered with a high performance license level 4, called A – license. This means undersigned is qualified to train weightlifters of international level.
My passion for the sport of Olympic Weightlifting has led to the fact that I was asked to hold various positions in the EWF and EUWC and yet I still found time to develop coaching education programs that have been accredited by the Dutch Olympic Weightlifting Association here in the Netherlands. These courses differ from many other courses because they no nonsense and to the point with examples of training plans of complete macrocycles. I am well aware that an Olympic Weightlifting course in the Netherlands for Olympic Weightlifting coach must be very compact and above all very practical. The many positive reactions let me know that I have fully succeeded.
Sharing knowledge
I would like to share my knowledge and my 50 years of experience with you and I believe that the coaches and athletes everywhere in the world are entitled to the best I have to offer.
